Updated: 2026-08-17
UniSpace is an easy-to-use, secure, and reliable data protection software product launched by Anhui Yuanshuo Technology Co., Ltd. The product version released this time is UniSpace 3.4, released on 2026-08-17. This version introduces a series of new features and improvements designed to enhance user experience and strengthen data protection capabilities.
Workflow
UniSpace 3.4 supports graphical workflow customization and the following workflow nodes:
Select a backup set to trigger backup
Select a copy to trigger copy
Trigger recovery through a job template
Execute custom scripts
Send email
Execute multiple jobs in parallel
Job Verification
UniSpace 3.4 supports verification of completed jobs. Users can manually select jobs for verification, or create scheduled plans to verify all jobs under a copy or verify only newly added jobs.
UniSpace 3.4 supports different verification levels:
Quick verification checks only the job records in management-node metadata, the volume list on the storage device, and block index files, without reading backup data.
Deep verification includes everything in quick verification and also reads the backup data and verifies CRC.
Operational Audit
UniSpace 3.4 supports operational audit. This feature records user operations performed in the UI. In the current version, the audit scope includes user management, storage pools, service plans, and operations on backup objects, including clients, instances, and backup sets.
Reporting
UniSpace 3.4 supports reporting. This feature is used for data aggregation and information display, provides quantitative support for monitoring and data analysis, and helps users make decisions.
Two report templates are provided by default. Users can also create custom reports on the page and write SQL statements to query the required information.
Deduplication
UniSpace 3.4 deduplication supports all agent types in the current version.
UniSpace 3.4 supports status statistics for the deduplication repository.
NEW: UniSpace 3.4 supports verification of deduplication repository data. The verification levels differ:
Quick verification reads the volume index files in the storage pool associated with the deduplication repository, resolves the addresses of the actual volume data blocks they reference, and checks whether the blocks exist.
Deep verification reads the volume index files in the storage pool associated with the deduplication repository, resolves the addresses of the actual volume data blocks they reference, reads the data blocks, calculates CRC and hash values, and compares them with the records in the deduplication repository.
NEW: UniSpace 3.4 supports sparse files (hole punching) for backup storage. Only local file systems are supported.
NEW: UniSpace 3.4 supports archiving and moving deduplication repositories.
Other
UniSpace 3.4 supports cloning service plans, copy groups, plan groups, and copy policies.
UniSpace 3.4 supports configuring operation windows by resource group. Backup jobs are allowed to run during the configured window, while jobs outside the window are queued and wait.
UniSpace 3.4 optimizes operation-window management for stream resources.
UniSpace 3.4 supports client readiness checks and service restart. Users can select a client or storage node on the page to check whether the UniSpace service is running normally at the OS level, or restart the service as needed.
UniSpace 3.4 supports Single Sign-On (SSO) login via AD/LDAP/OpenID and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using Google Authenticator.
UniSpace 3.4 supports configuring data compression at the backup-set level. Whether the final backup job is compressed depends on the combination of backup-set and copy settings.
| Backup Set Setting | Copy Setting | Backup Job Result |
|---|---|---|
| Compressed | Not Compressed | Not Compressed |
| Not Compressed | Not Compressed | Not Compressed |
| Compressed | Compressed | Compressed |
| Not Compressed | Compressed | Not Compressed |
NEW: UniSpace 3.4 supports storage-node load balancing, including storage-path selection and automatic failover.
NEW: UniSpace 3.4 supports email alerts. Users can define alert conditions such as job failures, storage thresholds, and storage-node offline events.
NEW: UniSpace 3.4 supports online configuration management, including online modification of client configurations and ports.
NEW: UniSpace 3.4 optimizes service plans and copies, supporting manual job retention, selective copying, default-copy switching, associating copy plans with copies, and managing backup sets in service plans.
